Sector for International Cooperation and European Integration:
·
coordinates activities of the Ministry of
Security and law enforcement agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
·
cooperates with the agencies to harmonize their
legislation and organizational structure in the part pertaining to fulfilment
of international and European integration requirements;
·
establishes cooperation between law enforcement
agencies and international bodies and/or other countries;
·
represents and coordinates the presence of
Bosnia and Herzegovina on international and bilateral meetings and conferences;
·
implements the procedures for concluding
international agreements and proposals for ratification of the UN, European and/or
regional conventions in areas within the Ministry’s competence.
·
monitors and coordinates activities relating to implementation
of international agreements and ensures adoption of international and European
police and other standards in areas within the Ministry’s competence;
·
defines priorities and policies, as well as undertakes
necessary activities to develop international cooperation and participates in
drafting laws, regulations and bylaws related to these matters;
·
monitors and coordinates activities relating to
implementation of agreements concluded with the European Union, and approximation
of domestic legislation to the EU standards;
·
coordinates activities on programming and
implementation of projects financed by European Commission and other donors in
areas within the Ministry’s competence;
·
coordinates activities pertaining to deployment
of police officers, civil servants and employees to international peacekeeping
operations;
·
coordinates activities of governmental
institutions, international organizations and NGOs relating to anti-trafficking.
